Akira was born with a deformed front leg that made it difficult for her to play and run, but she still tried. Sometimes it dragged along, sore and bleeding along the way. A leg amputation would give this young husky freedom. When Connecticut Humane Society veterinarians removed her leg, she didn't let recovery time dampen her spirits - she was ready to move and groove in just a few days. After a few weeks of check-ups and getting used to life as a tri-paw, Akira went home with a family who fell in love with her uncrushable spirit.
